J.R. Erickson has always loved to write. However, like many young women, she gave in to the pressures of college and full time corporate work before realizing that life without dreams is no life at all. This epiphany spurred J.R. to leave her job and, with her husband, escape to Northern Michigan where she spends her days writing, reading, hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes and being eternally grateful for the ability to pursue her passions full time. Prior to her great escape, she received a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. She has published nonfiction articles at The White Pine Press, Michigan Nature Association and Demand Studios and short fiction at Story House. She is also a member of Michigan Writers. Ula is her first published novel.
