Sandy Hyatt-James was born in England.  She gained a scholarship to study literature at Ruskin College, Oxford. After further study at Oxford Brookes University, she went into Social Work and eventually became a Social Work Manager. 
Sandy gave up work three years ago to devote more time to writing. She now lives in Bulgaria with her husband, two dogs and a cat.  When she isn’t writing, she teaches English Language part-time. 
For relaxation, she enjoys walking in the beautiful Bulgarian mountains and being with her husband and friends.
