I was born in the small mining town of Eastwood in Nottinghamshire, the same town as the renowned author D.H.Lawrence. I have been married forty years and have two children and three grandchildren. As a retired miner, I spend my spare time writing, walking, fishing and playing with my grandson.

I took up writing about five years ago and my genre is children’s fantasy. Simon and the Gelfin will be my second publication.
